The School of Music is sponsoring this event along with FEMEA. Students will get to experience being on a college campus and perform in this gorgeous venue! Details such as parking, rehearsal locations, meal plans are currently being determined to provide an optimum experience for students, teachers and families.​ We are so excited to offer more opportunities to perform and learn for the best and brightest young musicians of Florida!


Barbara Sullivan Mansfield

Barbara Sullivan Mansfield has taught elementary music in Manatee County, FL the past fourteen years and served on the FEMEA board as District 2 Chair. She has degrees in music education from The Ohio State University and Florida State University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has earned certifications in Kodaly, Orff-Schulwerk, and World Music Drumming. Last year she traveled to Argentina and Chile to learn how music education is taught in South America. She directed the Manatee County Elementary Music Festival Chorus in 2007, 2013 and 2016 and her students were selected for the Florida All State Elementary Chorus since 2006. Mrs. Mansfield has been involved with FEMEA for more than 10 years.

Eldean Hagans

Eldean Hagans, National Board Certified Teacher, has served as Meadowlane Intermediate School’s music specialist for fifteen years. She holds a Master’s in Music Education from Florida State University. She is an active member of many local, state and national music associations including NAfME, FMEA, FEMEA and CFOC and serves on the Brevard County Music Leadership Team.

Eldean is an active musician in the community as a piano accompanist and vocal performer. She serves as Music Director with Our School House productions, Assistant Director with the Brevard Youth Chorus, and accompanist at Central Baptist Church in Melbourne. Previously, Mrs. Hagans owned and operated Joyful Sounds Studio and taught private lessons and group lessons, piano and vocal, preschool through adult. Eldean considers music to be a source of joy in her own life and seeks to make music a joyful experience for all.

Le Ann Hasker

Le Ann Hasker is in her 28th year of teaching music. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and the Master of Education in Educational Administration from Liberty University. Le Ann has taught elementary music in both public and private schools in Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida. She holds Orff Level III Certification and is currently one of two elementary music specialists at Meadowlane Intermediate School where she co-teaches with Mrs. Eldean Hagans. Additionally, she serves on the Brevard County Music Leadership Team and as the Children’s Choir Coordinator at First Baptist Melbourne where she oversees six musical ensembles for Preschoolers and Children.
